Model description The structural type of the MTPR-860Hc series protection is Hc,transformer physical protection device. 2. Caution  The appearance should be inspected before power is applied, to ensure that the panel is OK without scratch, the screws are tightened, the device is grounded firmly, all screws of plug-ins are tightened and in good contact.  When power is applied, the “Run” indicator on the panel should flash, binary quantity data are displayed on the LCD in cycle.  Operating circuit inside the device is only applicable to DC power supply, if AC power is used, it should be applied with rectifier and filter.  It is prohibited to plug or unplug the plug-ins, in order to avoid damage to the device. 2 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 1. Product description 1.1 Scope of application The MTPR-860Hc transformer protection device applies to the physical protection of transformers in systems with voltage ratings of 110kV and below.The device will action by receiving the non-electric quantity that comes from the transformer body,record the operation event at the same time, and send the information to the monitor system. 1.2 Function and specification 1.2.1 Protective function  6 non-electric quantity reaction trip input  18 common remote signal input  Cooling lost protection with long delay setting  1 protection which can be selected or not with long delay setting for trip 1.2.2 Auxiliary function  Self-checking fault alarm of device  Remote calling and modification of protection’s settings  Network print  Virtual correspondent node remote test 1.2.3 Monitoring function  Remote binary quantity: the device has 25-way binary input. 18 common remote signal input. 6 non-electric quantity reaction trip input.1 common internal acquisition input. 1.2.4 Communication capability  With industrial Ethernet port and standard RS485 multipoint communication port. Relative humidity: 4 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 The average relative humidity of the most humid month shall not be greater than 90%, the average minimum temperature of this month not lower than 25℃ and there shall be no surface condensation. at the highest temperature of +40℃, the average maximum humidity shall not exceed 50%. Atmospheric pressure: 80kPa~110kPa (below relative altitude of 2KM) 1.2.8 Hardware structure The device uses a 6U, 19/3” standard enclosure, with aluminum alloy casing and installed by overall embedding. The display panel is mounted in the front, and the other plug-in modules are rear mounted. From the rear view, I/O, the power and CPU are from the left to the right.  External dimensions and boring diagram Structural and dimensional diagram Boring diagram for installation Devices fabricated on-screen steps: first release on-screen stents unfastening screws, remove the stents. Install the device on the screen from the front and push until close to the fixed plate. Install the stent 2, and then stent 1, and then use fastening screw to insertion hole from rear of stent1, and then screwed into stent 2 and tighten screw. The stents from up and down are installed in the same way. Use grounding screws to connect grounding line. 5 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 2. Function of device 2.1 Non-electric quantity protection function KRJ1~KRJ6: non-electric quantity reaction startup relay. KRJ1-1~KRJ6-1: the common open contact of non-electric quantity reaction startup relay KRJ1~KRJ6. TJ1~TJ3: non-electric quantity reaction trip relay. When the non-electric quantity contact which connecting with KRJ1~KRJ6 is closed, the relevant contact KRJ1~KRJ6 startup, if the relevant trip plate is in a closed position, then TJ1~TJ3 will operate for trip. If the plate is in an open position, TJ1~TJ3 will not operate, the device only give an alarm by CPU, record the event, and sent to the monitoring system. There are 18 common binary inputs in the device. They are only collected as a common binary input, give a warning signal by CPU, record the event, and sent to the monitoring system. There is 1 long delay cooling lost operating logic. Please refer to the detail in 2.2. When the operating logic is satisfied, the cooling lost output contact closed. The contact can be regarded as non-electric quantity contact with which for direct trip, it can be connected with the non-electric quantity reaction relay starting terminal and the relevant trip plate directly. There is 1 long delay operating logic which can be selected in the device. Please refer to the detail in 2.3. You can choose anyone of the common remote signal input to be the operating contact input. When it reaches the operating delay, the spare trip output contact closed. The 6 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 contact can be regarded as non-electric quantity contact with which for direct trip, it can be connected with the non-electric quantity reaction relay starting terminal and the relevant trip plate directly. Description of the terminals: Terminals A01,A02:trip contact 1. Terminals A03,A04:trip contact 2. Terminals A05,A06:trip contact 3. Terminals A07,A08:trip contact 4. Terminals A09,A10:trip contact 5. Terminals A11,A18:Negative power and positive power input terminals Terminals A12~A17:Non-electric quantity trip permitting plate input terminals. Non-electric quantity trip will be permitted when they are connected with negative power. If the non-electric quantity trip relay operated, besides the relevant trip permitting plate is connected, the reaction trip relay operates, and CPU will record the event of non-electric operated. The output contacts of the reaction trip relay connect the trip circuits of all sides of the transformer. Terminals A19~A24:Non-electric quantity trip start relay input terminals. Non-electric quantities operate when they are connected with negative power, the trip start relays operates, and CPU will record the operated event, and get ready for trip. Terminal B02~B09:Common remote signal input. The warning light will turn on when the remote signal changed from “Off” to “On”, besides record the operated event. The operating quantity of the long delay cooling lost operating logic and the long delay spare trip operating logic can be from this input.B06 is cooling lost input terminal,B07 is high oil temperature. The operating quantity of the long delay spare trip operating logic can be selected in the 3 remote signal quantities. Terminals A25, A26: cooling lost trip output through CPU. The largest setting delay can be 9999s. It’s permitted to choose whether judge the high oil temperature signal. When the cooling lost occurred, the cooling lost operating output contact can be a non-electric quantity input for direct trip, and break off the breakers of all sides of the transformer through the tripping plate. 8 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 Figure 2-2the operating logic of cooling lost 2.3 Spare Trip This device has 1 sections of long delay spare trip protection. The largest setting delay can be 9999s. The operating quantity of the spare trip protection can be selected High Oil Temperature、Spare Input 1、Spare Input 2, those 3 common binary input of the non-electric quantity plug-in module. When the spare trip protection operated, the spare trip output contact can be a non-electric quantity input for direct trip, and break off the breakers of all sides of the transformer through the tripping plate. Figure 2-3 the operating logic of spare trip Choose a quantity in 0~3 in the Choose trip quantity, the value of the relevant binary input is the value of the chosen quantity. 0 means open state. 2.4 The record of the alarm information This device can accept 15 alarm binary inputs. They are: Non-electric Quantity Trip, Body Heavy Gas, Voltage Regulation Heavy Gas, Pressure Release, Over Temperature Trip, Input Trip 1, Input Trip 2, Body Light Gas, Voltage Regulation Light Gas, Body Oil Level Abnormal, Voltage Regulation Oil Level Abnormal, High Oil Temperature, Cooling Lost, Spare Input1, Spare Input2. Please choose whether popup the alarm interface and turn on the warning light in the alarm setting menu in the system menu. When the state of any binary input shown above get “On” from “Off”, the warning light turn on; when the state of all the binary input is “Off”, the warning light turn off. The alarm information will be display on the LCD and last 60s. After that, the LCD will be back to the normal display. Please verify the information in the remote signal report in the report display menu. 9 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 2.5 The record of the operate information The protection operating light will keep turning on if Cooling Lost and Spare Trip operated; press the reset key or remote reset(by the monitored control system), to turn off the light. You can inquire the time of the protection operated and all the remote signal state at the time of the protection operated in the trip report in the report display menu. 2.6 Network print Device supports network printing function, can print remote control information, SOE information and the setting parameter list. The printer IP address must been set rightly on the device(the network segment of printer must be as same as that of device IP addresses), then connect a printer, put on "real-time report print ", it can print the current remote control information or SOE information when device is connected to the background(including remote communication shift, protection action), and can print the current SOE information when device is not connected to the background. In addition, when press the "ok" button in the "print report" or "print setting value" menu, it can print the all setting parameter or the all report information, including action value. 2.7 Virtual correspondent node remote test The function is used to complete the communication node remote test of the device, do not need to access the actual analog electric quantity or the input quantity. Specific operation as follows, connect to the background, In the remote test menu, operate the “virtual input test” and the “virtual SOE test” menu in the “remote test” menu, press the "OK" button after the modification of various settings, then by observing the background pop-up warning window or the change of the corresponding value, to determine whether the device communication node is right. It is convenient for debugger to debug the device on-site.When you are in the mode of remote test, the all protect must be off. 2.8 GPS clock synchronization The GPS clock synchronization signal is input as rs485 differential voltage, the device is able to receive GPS clock second synchronization. If there is GPS signal, there will be flashing on the bottom of cycle menu. Otherwise won’t. The principle of GPS clock synchronization: The second pulse or minute pulse act with the monitoring system, the time base with second precision is sent by monitoring system, when the GPS second differential signal arrives, the time base is unified and the milliseconds are cleared. The device is able to receive GPS clock second synchronization or IRIG-B through RS485 differential voltage, and it can be done with monitoring system to accomplish GPS precise clock synchronization or Ethernet-based SNTP synchronization. 2.9 Overhaul status When the device put into overhaul plate, remote sign, remote measure can uploading background computer.But the device can’t remote control by background computer.The SOE event、Alarm event、Trip event,etc also can’t uploading background computer. 10 User’s manual ofMTPR-860Hctransformer physical protection device WLD[K]-JY-316-2018 3. Press the “Enter” key to enter the main menu, which is a multi-level tree menu. Press the ““, ““ keys to move the cursor to the desired entry, press the “Enter” key to enter this entry, and press the “Cancel” key to return to the next higher level of screen. If this screen is still a menu, continue to press the ““, ““ key to select the desired entry, press the “Enter” key to enter the next level of screen, and press the “Cancel” key to return to the next higher level of menu. If there is no menu screen, be sure to press the “Cancel” key to return to the next higher level of menu. Spare Input 1 :□ Spare Input 2 :□ ......  Note: In the standard configurations, the input circuit has the connection to an external 220VDC control power supply. When no DC control power supply or control system is available on site, but a 110VDC control power supply is available, a 110VDC control power supply may be used for direct connection through local hardware adjustment, or the 24V power supply of the device may be used as the input power supply (when the input common terminal is +24V, terminal number: B22, Terminal B01 is kept float). PROT On/Off-1/4- Parameter Modify Co. Lost T1 Trip On Off ◇Enter ◆Cancel Press “+”, “-” keys to select the protection function On or Off.The interface will ejec t the window as right chart show when you press the “Enter” key. Move the cursor to th e desired position for modification by pressing the ““, ““ keys. Press the “Enter” key to complete setting, and the device will promptmodifying success or not. If the “Cancel” key is pressed, the protect plate status setting will be cancelled and the menu will return previous menu.  Clock setting: A battery-back real-time clock is provided in the device, which can perform time adjust remotely via the communication network or in-site time adjust in the [Time Setting] menu. Enter this menu and press the “Enter” key, the clock will stop refreshing and a cursor will Clock setting appear. Move the cursor to the desired position for modification by pressing the ““, ““ keys, modify to the desired value with Date:20□□-□□-□□ the “+”, “-” keys. Press the “Enter” key to complete setting. You can’t modify the value to prevent faulty operation.  Setting Value After entering the password, you can enter the [Setting Value] menu. See the settings description of the protection device for the detailed description.  Report Manage The [Report Manage] menu includes 4 submenus,including trip report, binary report, event report and print report. Event recording includes: device self-check fault, device setting value modification, system parameter modification and setting zone number modification, etc. Trip report can be record for the last 50 events, binary report for 100, event report for 30 at most. Beyond this, the latest report will overwrite the earliest one. Check of protection function Statement: if set the remote signal which in the alarm setting under the system menu to “√”, the LCD will display the alarm information, also the relevant warning light will turn on. AX is the reaction trip started terminal, AY is reaction trip permitted terminal. The device start the trip output contact 1~5 only when both of them are connected. A12 is the trip permitted of A19, to reason by analogy, A17 is the trip permitted of A24. Describe the body heave gas as an example is as follow: Wire according to the Figure 6-1, AX is A19, AY is A12. Close the 1S simulated switch, the device reports “Body Heavy Gas On”, the warning light turns on. Open the 1S simulated switch, the device reports “Body Heavy Gas Off”, the warning light turns off. Close the 2S simulated switch when 1S is closed, the device reports “Non-electric Trip”, the operated light turns on, test the terminals A01-A02,A03-A04,A05-A06,A07-A08,A09-A10 should be shorted. Disconnect 2S or 1S, test the terminals A01-A02,A03-A04,A05-A06,A07-A08,A09-A10 should be broken, and the operated light turns off after pressed the “Reset” key. These 8 binary inputs are all common binary input. When the relevant binary input get “On” from “Off”, the warning light turns on, the device reports the closing position signal; When the relevant binary input get “Off” from “On”, the warning light turns off, the device reports the open position signal. Describe the body light gas as an example is as follow: Wire according to the Figure 6-2, AZ is B02. Close the 3S simulated switch, the device reports “Body Light Gas On”, the warning light turns on. Open the 3S simulated switch, the device reports “Body Light Gas Off”, the warning light turns off. The checking method of B03~B09 is the same as the method of the body light gas checking.  Check of cooling lost and spare trip Wire according to the Figure 6-2, set the Co. Lost T1 Trip to on, set the delay to 10s, AZ is B06. Close the 3S simulated switch, the device reports “Cool. Lost trip” after 10s, test the terminals A25, A26 should be shorted. Set the Co. Lost T1 Trip to off, set the Co. Lost T2 Trip to on and set the delay of Cooling Lost T2 to 10s. Close the 3S simulated switch, the device reports “Cool. Lost Trip” after 10s, test the terminals A25, A26 should be shorted. Set the CL. Judge H.O.T to on, set the delay of Cooling Lost T2 to 10s. Close the 3S simulated switch, the device should not operate after 10s. Connect +WC to B07, the device reports “Cool. Lost Trip”, test the terminals A25, A26 should be shorted.
